smith and wesson M&P 15 22 fixed stock

I live in a state that I am allowed to have an adjustable stock but have found a M&P with a fixed stock that I want . The seller thinks I can just remove the pin and it will become an adjustable stock . Does anyone know if this is true.

Yes you can remove it.

My pin fell out on its own after 800 rounds and now it likes falling out more than staying put. Got sick of having to constantly find the damn thing, I just threw it in my tool box ammo can so I can at least have it on hand when I go shooting in case the ATF decides to stop in and ruin my day. Don't worry though, I make sure to drive to nh and adjust the stock there =D

If only the pin in my ten round mags behaved the same way...
