I just purchased a smith and Wesson m&p 45 no safety lock all black gun and I was wondering if anyone knows a good website where I can purchase customizable parts, primarily grips and trigger but anything will help a direct link would be nice.

It should be obvious that you can't get grips for it - you can only choose between the three backstraps you should have received with it.

Apex Tactical offers internal parts; so does Speed Shooters Supply.

I believe he might be looking for this:

The Apex Sear is the way to go ( and I have one in my M&P45fs). A search of You tube/net will find you the part and instructions on how to install. Be sure to get the sear for the 45 cal. That one is different.

Why not just shoot it the way it is and save your money for ammo? I bought a 45 Compact about 2 months ago and it is fine right out of the box. First shot out of the gun was a perfect bulls-eye and it has been flawless through about 800 rounds. The only thing I would like to add is a Crimson Trace Lasergrip but unfortunately they don't make one for the 45c.

@lee in quartzsite I want to make it more my own and personal I gave it a test shot as soon as I bought it at the range it shoots nicely though. I really like it as my first handgun.

I think a lot of people try to fix problems on guns before they are even determined to be problems. The trigger on my 45fs sucked out of the box but it didn't keep me from shooting it very well. The trigger smoothed out after about 700 or so rounds and is awesome now at just about 4500. The only mods I've done are undercut the trigger guard a bit and a slight stipple on the front and back straps. IMO shoot it first before doing any mods.

If you want to make it "yours", buy more mags, then shoot it, shoot it,and then some more. Then you can change the trigger, add red, green,IR laser, Bayonet, mag extension, Cerakote camo, titanium internal components, springs, threaded barrel, suppressor. But shoot it first, learn the gun and you will be able to make additions ( if needed/wanted ) based on your perceived/actual needs. My laser max guide rod laser is great fun for the cat, 300+ when I bought it- useless- I am not going to take my finger OFF the trigger to activate it when someone is closing on me with a knife!! My M&P 40 is great, night sights, No mag safety, NO thumb safety, NO internal lock, more accurate then I am, I do not like weapon mounted lights on a handgun. So mine is " perfect" for "me". Be Safe,

Thanks everyone I most definitely be safe i can't wait to break it in, as far as fixing it, I just need a few hundred rounds and I'm good, however, as far as presentation of the gun I know I'll want to do more just so it doesn't look like other smith and Wesson handguns. Nothing wrong with guns of same appearance but I'm obsessed with making it stand out as my first gun, or so to say perfect for me. But as far as it shoots, its a natural bad ***.
