i have a revolver i know nothing about. i cant even find anything on google about it, so my last resort is to bother you folks.

its a stainless 357 roughly 5 inch barrel in 98% condition.

any informational links or values would be appriciated

You better check the gun again, S&W has never made a model 654 that I know of. At least not a revolver.
Pictures would really help.
 
Gotta measure the barrel from the cylinder to muzzle and get that right, which will help, a good description would be better (fixed or adjustable sights, etc), but the best help is good quality photos.
 
i am 100% sure that it says model 654 under the barrel (inside the cylinder area) it is a stainless fixed sight 357 mag. ill measure the barrel length to be certain as well as post some pics.

i have to be honest, im kind of happy you folks have never heard of it either, because i really felt like a idiot when i couldnt find any info on it
 
Well if you're sure then it would just about have to be a 4" model 65-4 since that's about the only SS fixed sight 357 that would have those numbers. Maybe the dash got left off, certainly would not be the first time a mistake was made in the stamping area.
If it turns out to be a 5" barrel I don't know what you've got.

it could very well be a 4 inch barrel, im away from the gun right now or i would measure it. there is defintally no dash in the stamp but as you said mabye it got left off.

ill do some price checking on the 65-4 thanks guys
