Have a smith 66-2 2 1/2 inch barrel 95% cond with orginal box and paper work need value for this planning on selling.Also could y'all help out on a born date serial number ayp265x special order number 7344 thanks any info appreciated

I don't see a pinned barrel so its post 1982. The SCSW doesn't show an exact date for the AYP prefix. The closest it shows in the book is AYW in December of 1987. My best guess would be mid to late 1987.
The special order may be the Julian date (344th day of 1987) but again, I am not sure. Someone else may have more insight and can share.
Is there a product code on the box?

Based on the Spe. Ord. number, and the one piece cardboard box, it shipped Dec 10, 1987.
