I don't know why you think that is a high price.?? Finding decent K frame .22s here, under $500,is now the exception, not the rule.

well, your probably right on this one, but believe me other guns in Europe are usually higher. I see the prices you guys pay and here they are 15-20% more

example: I found a 1969 29-2 S Serial for 1400$, no box or paper work....that's crazy. If your lucky enough with box + paperwork you can go up to 1900$ in Italy for a 29-2

forgot to ask: the 17-2 were produced till 1967, can you guys confirm that the grips are correct? Walnut Diamond Magnas?

Man that's a beauty and i'd take a couple at that price also. All the 17's i see around here are way over that money. And i don't see them very often. As soon as the Gunshops get them they sell quickly
regardless of price if they are nice.

Your grips are the correct vintage. They should be serial numbered on the inside of the right grip panel. If they came on your gun the number will match the serial number on the butt of the revolver.

Thanks Leo!

You gave me good news. I'm having it shipped to my local gun shop, soon as I get my hands on it I'll do some cleaning and post some other photos

You dident do good, you did great! Around here dash twos are scarce, I picked one up last year for $325.00 in good mechanical shape but had so much blueing wear on the barrel (from a ill fitting holster no doubt) that the last owner spray painted the whole barrel asy. gloss black! I cleaned it up and cold blued the barrel and it turned out to be a great shooter as I suspect your's will be as well. Enjoy that 17.

Congrats!
Agreed.....excellent buy on the 17-2.
