This 24-3 is one of my favorite pieces, it fits squarely in the number of Lew Horton Specials when I last ran the numbers. I am not a collector but do know what I like, the thing that makes these somewhat special is that they could be purchased with a matching holster and I suppose with box and all they would have a certain desirability. They hold their values which are skyrocketing much more than any other 24-3. At first I was not attracted to the idea of a round butt but after having a talk with John and Jennifer I think I have one of their first round to square butt conversions...which I had originally had made for a 629 Mountain Revolver but kept hoping I would again find a home for them...Honey Bastogne Walnut. These are even custom fit with a Coke bottle profile for my freakish long fingers. I am soon to be in contact with them again because I just traded into a Model 69 Combat Magnum, which is an K/L framed unit.
Had a 3" 629, not an LH, and replaced with a MG of same caliber…it's the top MG with colorful grips. But a 3" 29 like you guys have, would definitely have kept. My MG's are all shooters, and quite accurate.

I have the same grips on my 29-3 LH, my grips look the same but are a little darker.Mine are the first ones that John had made! They are super comfortable.I also have the original combat grips that are fantastic looking !I was thinking of selling the gun what's the current value? There is no box just the gun!All items are in super shape.
