Since were talking about scatches

I have a Stainless Steel 1911 (Its a Colt) so I hope its ok to ask a question here,anyway it has A nice big rookie slide stop sctrach on it.I have tried flitz and a product called Never Dull with no luck. The 3m pads intrest me but how hard is it to blend it in.I would rather live with the scratch than have a half shiney and half dull.Any other ideas? Thanks Clint
