I wasn't very sure how to start this thread. other than saying I have the utmost respect in what S&W has become.

I realized yesterday after buying a new MP15 and watching it run out of the box 300 rounds flawlessly. With groups at 100 yards that are unreal with iron sights.

I then realized I have two others SW weapons that run perfectly all the time. A 9mm 9L that I shoot USPSA and my companion which is a BG380LS.

prolly the first time in 20 years I have purchased NIB weapons and they run perfectly and accurately.

The other thing is they have great customer service and as far as I am concerned the build quality is 100% for what I have purchased.

I guess I could lament over the numerous other guns I have purchased over the past 30 years and all the problems but the nature of this post is to just do a shout out to SW for making remarkable quality weapons.

Cheers

I'm glad you are a happy camper....

One thing S&W does is that if something isn't right, they'll fix it. We are all concerned about economic pressures of building good guns and having to compromise on quality. But S&Ws are still very good guns.

Mine as well 442 & M & P 40 C . The 40 I bought a week after my Springfield xds45 Acp. The Springfield was a nightmare the 1st 500 rounds. The. 40 c flawless.

In my 50+ years of buying S&W products, I've had one problem with new S&W firearm. I bought a S&W Model 60 when they first came out. There was a problem with the cylinder. It was great single shot revolver if you load only one cartridge at a time. However, the cylinder would close with a full load of cartridges but the cylinder would be locked in place - It wouldn't rotate and the trigger was "locked". I sent the revolver back to S&W. This was back when the Post Office required the outside box to be marked with 3" high red letters, "FIREARM". With the S&W address and the marking, it didn't take a genius to tell what was in the box. Needless to say, it never made it to S&W as it was stolen. About two years later, I got a call from a police dept. several cities away saying they recovered by S&W during a robbery attempt. (Maybe the robber loaded the cylinder full but didn't realize it was a non functioning pistol.) When I got Model 60 back, it still had the same problem so this time it was sent to S&W by UPS which didn't have the box marking requirement as the USPS. When the Model 60 returned is functioned flawlessly.
