Smith & Wesson mod 10 "
Dear Friends:
I turn to you for knowledge.
past days my oldest son, who apparently inherited the same passion for guns that I have, suffered an unfortunate accident that has incapacitated his right hand for a while, this and the desire to have a short or snub revolver as tell in USA, it made us consider purchasing this piece below them by sending photographs,
I think on a Model 10, but her better judgment, for now I have no serial number, as it has'll post to help me with the date of manufacture,
although the revolver in cuantion has been subject to restoration in the aesthetic area, the day that I had in the hands looks very good mechanically, which could tell us about, to learn from you
on the other hand, you will be able to use without risk ammunition + p

Estimados amigos:

Looks like a nice one! :)

+p's should be fine but if prices are like here standard loads are cheaper and easier on your hand.

It is a model 10 or a later variant (you may see the model number followed by a "-" and a number stamped on the frame under the barrel, a larger number after the dash being a later version). From the photo this one appears to be from between 1961 and 1981; without the serial number the exact year cannot be determined.

If it is mechanically sound it should make a fine gun for left-handed practice :). Hope this is helpful.

I have several Model 10s with 2" barrels and I can assure you that it is a fine, accurate, easy to manipulate handgun and an excellent choice.

One of my best revolvers is a 10-5 with a 2" barrel. +p rounds are not an issue. Run a few for practice, but use standard pressure for practice.
