Smith & Wesson Model 41 - what year?

I just recently bought this Model 41, and wonder what year it is produced, and what grip this is?

- serial number: A5749xx

Sorry about bad picture. The pistol have some marks from wear, but shoots real well, and it's in great technical condition.

This serial number is from 1979. I am not familiar with the grip installed on the gun; do you know if it was produced somewhere in Europe? It looks to be of high quality.
