Smith & Wesson model 67

I would like to ask about a S&W Model 67 no dash engraved by Master Engraver JR French and out beside his name is number 74 not sure if this the year 74 or number of Guns he Engraved. This is a beautiful hand engraved revolver. Who here can tell me any more about this Master Engraver JR French.

Thank you, still trying to find out more about J.R. French who engraved this smith & Wesson model 67.

Apparently he died in 2015, was from Texas. Google is your friend.

It looks like "674" so I would guess it is a date (June '74).
