Im confused Dick.. it was the internet store. How could i ask the "people"??

That really is a good question. I have seen other people say that they ordered something from the Web Store and I guess if it is out of stock it would say so.

Store is closed from 12-24 through the first of the year, I called them this morning regarding a order I placed last week.

oneyeopn - Thats kind of what i was thinking. I can only hope.

I would send them an email. There's usually contact information on internet stores. I just don't understand how any of the forum members would know if a product is in stock. I'm sorry if I'm missing something. Us old guys can be kinda slow.

I think the OP is asking if they actually stock items or do they wait for an order and have it drop shipped from another source.

I don't think their website product inventory is real time and we'll all be getting a lot of "out of stock": order cancelled emails later this week.

There's no way they had pmags in stock through the holidays while the rest of the planet was out. I'm not expecting my order to come through.

I am hoping they fill the orders in the order they come in, maybe I'll get my 3 mags. If I knew it was going to be so insane I would have ordered 10.

I understand what youre saying... I wasnt specifically asking about items in the store. I was inquiring about ones past experience ordering for the store.

I will hopefully find out today when S&W gets back to work..

Just got of the phone with them all mags on B.O. with no expected ship date as of today.

Same thing for my 300 Upper, they apparently place a hold on your credit card to be sure its good but will not actually charge until whatever you ordered is sent.

I called them today to inquire about my order placed for some mags in their online store on 12/22, when I ordered them, they went right through, so stupid me thinks, ha, I got 'em.....well now the rest of the story. They tell me with a straight voice, " every mag we sell online is back ordered for 8 weeks or more" but no worries, we won't charge your card until they ship.

I love my s&w guns, but, this stunk !!!

They said unfortunately that their online store is not tied to their actual inventory and that's the way it is.

You would think that would be the only real way to run an online store these days..but hey what do I know.

JMO but the very least they should do is verify if stock is on hand at time of order placement.
Placing an order and not knowing if or when it will be filled is pretty ridiculous in this day and age.
The current situation has no bearing on this. They either have the item or they don't.

If they don't they need to say so ,

Inventory control, It's not rocket science.

The store was closed from 12-23 through the new year, that means no one was processing the orders during that time. I am sure if they had 10000 mags in stock they all sold out during the frenzied buying during that week. They have updated the site with out of stock on all mags. Give them a break these are not ordinary times with ordinary amounts of buying, I am sure you realize this.

If you really need mags you can find them on ebay or gunbroker for about 50 bucks a pop, if you can wait until the dust settles you can save 100%
