i also have a 624 with 4 inch barrel, it is wearing grasshorn grips,but i have not forgot about it, i also got mine back in the 80s.

I love my 4" 624, bought in 1987, been down a few dusty roads together. Just found the 6 1/2" mate to it last month, so the universe is now properly aligned. Seriously, I've been kicking myself ITA for years for not buying both barrel lengths back then. The new long barrel helps a bit with the 25 year older eyes.

LOL! What a deal.

I have a 25-7 that I didn't fire for 20 years, but I never forgot about it.

Personally, I searched high and low for a 624 and finally found one under the most unlikely circumstances, and for a great price.

One of S&W's better efforts IMO.
