Those 25-7's were top notch shooters. A buddy had one, but I was holding out for a stainless steel version. They never made a SS version. I settled for this one.........also a fine shooter!

My wife bought a new 625-7 Mountain Gun for me 8/02 as my first S&W. I picked up a LN 625-6 as a shooter several years ago, to rest the first one... I like .45 Colts - my long time favorite.

I am not as fond as I once was of the black on black sights - or the laser etched barrel. Other than that, they are definite keepers.

They did indeed make a SS version. A run of about 150, 3" 625-7's from Lew Horton. See above. I posted this inaccurately as a 325 last night........corrected to 625-7 this morning. This one of my all time favorites!
