So there I was with a day off today, went to the range and then went to the local Sportsman's Warehouse to get a couple little things. It was pretty much empty in the store, so I foolishly asked the counter guy what they had in the way of 28 guage shotguns. He handed me this:

Weatherby at a price lower than the online places, you know the rest of the story. Off to the Trap range tomorrow.

Been using a 28ga for about 20 years, have setters for grouse hunting and my Browning Lighting is all a guy needs. My Browning 20ga upland which I've killed a few truck loads of grouse and woodcock with now is my back up gun.

I've been using a 28 ga. in a Benelli Legacy and in one of the little Ithaca 37 pump guns for a couple of years now, mostly for chukars and pheasants, and the more I use it the better I like it! It seems to hit a lot harder than you would expect, you can get a full 1 oz. load for bigger birds, and the little guns that use it are wonderful! I bet you'll be happy as a clam with that new shotgun.
