I recently had the opportunity to obtain a "Smython", Smith & Wesson frame & trigger assembly with a Python barrel. This one happens to be a model 19 with a 2 1/2" Colt Python barrel attached. I remember when these were used by a few target shooters back in the late 60's - 70's Because these were ALL custom builds,I don't think many are around. Any idea how rare these are now? ( sorry, no photo available)

There are probably a lot of 4 and 6 inch ones in private collections that they are not letting go of.

4 and 6 inch Smython's were by far the most common conversions. I don't think I've ever seen one with a 2 1/2 inch barrel. How about posting some pictures?
