On some of the PC guns and special variations of others, the serial number prefix would seem to be significant in that it stands for something. Here are the ones that I have noticed:
CSH - from the Lew Horton Case Hardened Heritage Series (Model 24-5)
TWT - from the Texas Wagon Train commemorative (Model 544)
SUP - from the Banger's .38 Super N-frame (Model 627-4)
HEG - from the Sports South Heritage Series (Model 25-10)
The last one (HEG) is a bit of a puzzler. I'm assuming the "HE" is Hand Ejector, but I'm not sure what the "G" stands for, unless it's simply Gun. Any help here would be appreciated.
How about other special prefixes - please add them to this thread.
Adios,
