Got a nice day here today so I took a few of my CCW's to the farm for a little range time. Put the banana grips on the 649 for the first time, and I have to say, I kind of like them. The 642 and the 649 both reminded me why I need to keep on carrying them, and why they are still all I need. The model 19 shoots tiny little groups, pure pleasure to shoot, but a little big for EDC for me. Shot about 150 rounds through these three, fun! I would be interested to hear from others (pros/cons) who have any experience with banana grips on j frames.

I also shot the black gun, of course, meh.......

No banana grips, sorry, but I love my 642 Pro with my CT laser grip. It is my primary carry and I can shoot the hell out of that little revolver. Love, love it.

So far I have tried Hogue Tamers, Stock Boot, and S&W Wesson rubber Combats. I have some Pachmyer's that a Freind gave me. They feel good but haven't shot with them yet. Will be shooting in Florida in a couple weeks. I think I'm going to like them.

I liked the banana grips on my 638, both wood and rubber, but I slapped on a big fat set of Hogues recently just because. Because I could and because they're hilarious and because I bet they cushion recall better than all of the other grips I have had on that gun.

I'm leaning towards graduating from J frame snubs to K frame snubs. We shall see.

Well....... I carry a 19 snub every day, love it. That said I have added a 642 as a bug........... I really can't say why either. Just woke up the other day and shoved it into my weak side coat pocket, now I carry both. The 642 is my walk around the house, yard work, what ever gun.

Good Combo. I often do the same. 19-2 & 642-1

Cocked & Locked, that 19 - 2 looks hotter than my senior prom date, from about the same time period. I bet my date didn't age nearly as well......

What do you call all those other things to the right of the Glock?

This 19-2 dates to 1968. That would probably put your date past the Cougar age I'm guessing. My Senior Prom was in 1962...your date might still look like a babe to me!

Are you allowed to carry the black jack in your state? It's a big no-can-do here in Michigan. Mine's been locked up in the safe along with my lead filled slapper and SAP gloves since I left the job. It would be a great less than lethal alternative.
