Just curious. If so, what model and what holster? Lets see the set ups. And maybe how big you are......

I have a very old ******* horsehide IWB holster that has zero cant. I use it AIWB from time to time with 4" k-frame (normally a model 15).
I am 6 feet and 195 pounds and fairly fit. The problem is that I can't really tie my shoes or pick stuff up off the floor ( my youngest boy is 6) with the pistol in that position.

I don't IWB because I'm a big guy and like to have my shirts tucked in, so it doesn't work for me. Even the "tuckable" holsters really aren't, and the gun will pull them out over time.

As to the appendix carry, even if I did IWB, I would never AIWB. First, you really need to have almost zero body fat to make that comfortable. Second, I really don't like the idea of a gun pointing at the boys.

I have but it's pretty uncomfortable sitting down with the barrel poking you in the midriff or the upper portion of your unmentionables.

As a Sky Marshal (technically, Customs Security Officer) in 1971 I flew worldwide with a Model 15 4" with a Barami clip grip under a banlon? shirt, no jacket with no problem. I was 5'11" and about 155 lb. at the time. The Barami only came for right handed shooters and I'm lefthanded so it was not a quick draw set up. I flew to Europe, middle east, South America, lots of multi-hour flights never felt uncomfortable. Best, Joe

I don't carry a K frame AIWB, I carry a 4" M29.

I use a pretty standard leather IWB holster made by a local, but I modified it with a spacer to push the grip into my gut more so it prints less.

I'm 5' 8" 175 lbs with a bit of a gut. I wear a uniform to work that conceals it nicely, and after work I wear untucked button up shirts that fit and cargo shorts ~360 days a year.

I can get a bit uncomfortable when I sit down, but it's pretty rare because the holster is built to lift the grip up a bit above my belt.

I'm still undecided if I think I could manage it. I'm not sure I'd like the weight. But I guess it would depend on the model. A model 12 could be easier to carry regularly than a 10.

And then I got to wondering if they're making aluminum framed or scandium framed K frame snubbies now a days. Cuz I don't recall any model like that and thinking, why not? They have N frames and J frames that are LW but why not K frames?

I carry a Taurus 617 7 shot Snub AIWB at times. The size is not a problem. Sometimes the weight bothers my back. It's not a every day carry I rotate it in with my J-Frames. Here is a comparison in the size difference.

When it is cool out I carry a GP100 in this Lobo AIWB in horse hide. You need a good belt for sure but it is actually pretty comfortable. I suspect this setup would well for a K Frame.

I'm surprised that the weight of it, and the clip being so far off to the side doesn't allow that do slip down.... But that is impressive that you carry that AIWB.

2.5" Model 19 in an Alien Gear rig. 6'4" and 225lbs. I am used to it and it doesn't feel uncomfortable at all. But - my original carry gear was a 5" 1911 in a Crossbreed rig AIWB - so the model 19 feels pretty small compared to that.

Another forum member is generously letting me try out a single clip Lobo holster for a 3" K frame. The only slight negative I've found is that with the K frame weight it tends to slip down a little. It's minimal, so I still may end up ordering the same holster for my self.

Make sure you are using a good belt. Also, you might want to consider getting the Lobo in horse hide.

eb07, does that holster do a good job of keeping the sweat off your revolver?
