So.... How much does a 342TI weigh?

lsxpower
I think the secret service grips are heavier. My 342PD (pre lock) with bantams weighed 10.8 ounces. My 342PD with lock and Spegel boot grips went up to 11.4. However, the 342PD with lock has the Ti cylinder with the smaller flutes. I think just changing to the boot grips on your Ti will take it up .3 ounces.

You could be right S.B.

I got this in an email from Eagle in 2006, regarding the weight of their grips:
Our grips weigh about .08 ounces.

So, is that .08 ounces each, (.16 oz. total)?
Does that include the screw?
Is the decimal in the wrong place?

My rosewood Secret Service grips should be here in a few days.
I probably won't keep them on there if they are heavier than the Bantams.
The Bantams seem to weigh 1.4-1.5 ounces, and they aren't too bad in the recoil department.

I think You'll like the Eagle Secret Service grips, To me they feel no heavier than the Hogue Bantam, If they do it's not by too much..
They for sure weigh less than the Uncle Mikes Grips..
Here's a Crappy Pic of the Eagles on my 342Ti

Does it seem like the recoil is any worse than it was with rubber grips?

About The Same Recoil with either grip!!
Severe Recoil with +Ps..
You won't wanna shoot it too much..
Your Hand will Thank You..
My 15oz 642 shoots much milder with the same loads.. My 23oz 940 shoots the best of my three Centennials & 9mm ammo is Snappy compaired to 38Spl.
The 342Ti is The Ultimate Carry Piece but a Not a Very Good Range Companion..

Finally got the Secret Service grips.

Looks like this set of Eagle grips is about .3 ounces lighter than the Bantams I had on there.
Brought the gun down to 10.8 ounces.
Not bad!
