I kind of thought Lucas McCain might hold the honor with 120 tags but old Marshal Dillon had 138 guys and 7 women,,, what was he thinking,,, in his 20 years on TV. I thought you could google the subject but most all replies deal with movie stars. By those stats the TV guys were almost humanitarians as the top movie guy killed over 2500 people. Charles Bronson was one of the bad guys worst nightmare with at least 800 DOA's. I don't know what makes me think of questions like this.

I haven't kept track of TV Western heroes, but in real life, the deadliest I know of was Maj. Audie Murphy, MH. I believe he killed literally hundreds of Germans in WW II. One soldier who was quoted in Randall's knife catalog sad he was credited with something like 342 ( ?) enemy, many with his Randall knife.

The deadliest whom I know personally thinks he's killed 45-50 Iraqi insurgents with small arms, and has no idea how many more by calling in artillery and air strikes on their positions. He does know that he got 15 with 9mm and .45 handguns alone.

Billy the Kid supposedly got 21 men. Anyone know Clay Allison's score?

If you want another angle to this weird thread, instead of deadliest fictional cowboy over 20 seasons of a tv show, how about deadliest cowboy in the course of one movie, which would be much shorter span of time.

With no googling, I have to think Josie Wales wins that one, though the guys from the Wild Bunch made a pretty good accounting of themselves as well. I guess Lone Wolf McQuade probly counts as a western as well, and Ranger McQuade does not play around.

I need to rewatch all of those movies.

How about this one ;)

I always thought it was Matt Dillon, he could shot 10 guys with a six shooter. [emoji1]
