Recently bought a M&P 15-22. Now looking for a soft nylon case for transport of gun, magazines, ect. I am in Ma. so the stock is fixed. I have been eying a Voodoo Tactical, 36 inch model. I like the idea of 3 way carry, handle, shoulder strap, or back pack style. Also large external pouches and the ability to add on extras by MOLLE system.

Around $90.00 with free ship. Any input appreciated.

Model Voodoo 15-7613

Update: After much comparing of cases, size, features, reviews, I bought the Voodoo. Cost was not a major factor. Lets face it, those of us who love firearms spend reams of money buying all manner of firearm related products. Last week I went to an indoor range and shot 250 rounds of 45ACP. My usual round count when I go. With 45 costing 45/50 dollars per hundred there goes over $100.00 down range. Then a $20.00 range fee, splatter targets from Amazon, and 4 gallons of gas, you get the idea. My new rifle bag will last many years if cared for, so cost was not a major consideration. And yes, I will be taking a reloading class in the spring. Then of course the wallet flies open for reloading equipment, that story best left for another time. Be well all. Lewis (wilkoi)

I bought this one from Tactical Performance at Academy. It'll hold 5 mags, has a big pouch on the front, and an internal pouch. Doesn't accommodate backpack carry but it's a great deal for $40.

I have the same exact one. It is perfect! I got it on sale for $29 bucks. It can't be beat for the price. Holds all the mags, nice size pocket on outside for misc stuff, small velcro pouch on the inside that can hold little stuff, straps to hold it down inside, nice and padded. I would go get this one. No need to spend $100 on one. Save your money for ammo ;)

:D

I've got the VooDoo 2 rifle/2pistol 42". Obviously it's a little bigger than what you're looking for but I bring the 15-22 and my 10-22 to the range most times I go. Works great, tons of room.

Unless you have some special purpose... Otherwise, for going to the range I'd get a $25 Uncle Mikes soft case, Midway range bag, and have money left over from that $90. It's been my experience that gun cases loaded up with everything are generally a hassle at the range compared to a good bag.

That's the one I use for the range for bofe my AR platform rifles.

I likes the pistol case for paper targets. Liked it so much, I mounted another. Bought two more mag pouches too, when on sale for $10.

The mag pouches will hold 3-30rd 5.56 mags or 3-25rd 15/22 mags. The pouches zip instead of velcro close w/double zipper pulls.

With this case and mounted accessories there is enough room for both my AR rifles, 6-30rd 5.56 mags, 8-25rd 22LR mags, spotting scope, table tripod, targets, my bi-pod (LaRue QD mount, used for both rifles) hearing/eye protection, slings, extra ammo and the most important, a trip to the range! But, it ain't light.

This bag is made by Tactical Innovations and branded as Cabela's. Great bag, too but it is rather large.

I have the cabelas one mentioned above and it definitely holds a lot. If you have to hike to your shooting area like I do its not very comfortable and I really don't trust the shoulder strap mounts.

FWIW the PLANO hard cases (all weather) are similar to Pelican and have been on sale at a lot of places recently, PSA had the 36" for $54.99 and Midaway the 42" for $59.99 (+ shipping) and cabellas had the 42" for $69 w/ free shipping, I know these are hard cases but for $20'ish more than some of these soft cases, you get much more protection, YMMV

I can tell you this cause I picked up one from each of these vendors...:o

Get the VooDoo 36" bag, great quality and lots of storage pockets for magazines and etc.

Your going to love the VooDoo. I use the VooDoo Tactical 40, holds two rifles and has pockets for lots of stuff. I also use the Voodoo range bag, will hold 4 handguns and associated Mags, with room for ammo and ear muffs. Both bag use Velcro flaps with straps to close pockets and a heavy duty zipper with lock holes.

I got mine from Midway for @ $15.00, has 4 mag pouches and zipered pouch for paper work etc. velcro pouch for ? and shoulder strap. I think it was on sale & free shipping. is 42in. and good for an AR too.

I've seen the hard plano cases at the local wally world for $54.99, that was the 42" version too.

I got a UTG 38 inch "Tactical" case. Padding and construction is excellent. 5 magazine pouches and a zippered pouch. I'm very pleased with it. I paid $42 at a show, but I've seen them online in the thirties.
