I have been away for a minute. Overly busy these days.
I am selling this for a friend. He obtained quite a few firearms years ago from a death in the family. From what my friend told me, his family member was a buyer and not much of shooter. It is believed a lot of these guns were just stored and he either bought them NIB or used. There is no history of use available. I sold a few of them for him locally and here is one more. There may be a few more.
For sale (no trade)
Excellent Condition +
Browning Buck Mark .22 in the box with papers (only thing missing is the lock)
it's marked 051331490 Plus Nickel SE Wood Laminate Pro Target 5.5" BULL
one mag. Serial number dates to a 2002 model if I looked it up right. Serial number on the firearm and box are a match.
Magazine Capacity - 10
The box exterior has dust in the corners of the raised areas and what's odd to me is that the breach face was very clean (gave me the impression it was unfired) but the bore was dirty. I don't know if the factory fired the gun in 2002.
I can't say unfired past the factory, but that's a mystery. I also did not dry fire, as I have no empty .22s on hand to protect the chamber rim. I see no firing pin markings around the chamber face.
I cannot find any info on this model online using the model number. Since it's marked nickel, I cleaned the bore with Kroil only and a copper bore brush (no Hoppes) and wiped the barrel and slide with Kroil. I followed up on the bore with a Kroil soaked patch that came out clean. The frame appears to be black anodized, and I could not find any handling marks which is throwing me off as having been fired.
