I am not a smart man. A while back, I got it into my head that I really liked Hogue Big Butts even though I didn't shoot well with them. Because of this, I had Hogue custom-make these grips for me to the tune of way too much money and about a 3 month wait, only to have them arrive and me remember that I don't shoot well with Big Butts.
Sigh...
Here's the full rundown on them:
- Built for an N-Frame Round Butt
- Round-to-square Conversion Big Butts with checkering
- Made from real rosewood (not laminate)
- Driver's side custom shaped to ensure moonclipped .38 Special cases will clear the grips when ejected
- Built slightly shorter than standard grips; the opening between the trigger guard and butt is about 2 3/8". These should be very comfortable if the width of your middle finger to your pinky at the first joint is around the same measurement.
- Man, are they pretty
These currently cost $200 ($160 + $30 fitting fee + $10 shipping) on Hogue's site, and you have to wait for them to be manufactured. Take advantage of my idiocy and snag this set for $130 shipped (PayPal preferred).
