Something a little out of the ordinary here, but thought I would post to see if a member wants this.
Imgur: The magic of the Internet
I have for sale a very nice WWII Japanese Type 14 Nambu rig (pistol and leather holster). Gun is all matching to include the magazine. I field stripped it to show the various internally marked parts to verify that it matches. Firing pin and pin guide are properly not serialized (but are the proper type for this maker/date). The grips are very hard to read (seems to be dried grease on the inside and I don't want to mess them up by trying to remove), but both are marked with the proper "N" proof and you can make out the last 3 of the serial (642) on one grip, with only a "6" that is readable on the other. Dated 15.11 (Nov 1940) so this rig likely saw service in the Pacific Theater. Original finish in overall excellent shape. Has some very minor blemishes and wear spots here and there, but nothing major and no pitting. Hard to get a good photo, but the bore is clean but could use a bore brush through it. Leather holster is solid shape as shown. Let the pix do the talking to describe overall condition. I took many pix (both indoors and outdoors) to help show the condition, but if you need any additional pix or have questions, please don't hesitate to ask. My goal is to have a smooth transaction and happy customer, so would prefer that you understand what you are getting up front. A nice solid, honest WWII Japanese Nambu! Asking $1,225 (NO sales tax here folks!) shipped anywhere in the lower 48. Will be shipping FedEx 3 day and if you want any other shipping method or signature required, that will be extra. Must ship from my C&R to your C&R/FFL.
I will offer a 3 day inspection but the item has to be returned in the same condition as received. Refund will be for the purchase price less outbound shipping. If you mess with it, its yours. Return shipping is on you. My goal would be to have a happy buyer so please ask all questions beforehand to avoid any surprises/disappointments. Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional info/photos.
I can take a credit card payment (add 4% to the total), direct discreet payment through PP Friends and Family, MO/certified funds (all ship immediately) or a personal/business check (must clear before shipping). FIrst unqualified "I'll take it" posted here on the forum site gets it. Cross-posted, so the first date/time stamp has first rights. Once you post the "I'll take it" we need to have communicated regarding payment within 24 hours or I will offer the item to any subsequent buyer who wants it (posting the "I'll take it means you are committing to buy it and not wanting me to hold it for you - please understand that I am just trying to keep things fair for all parties).
