I believe this is what they call 3rd Generation, Old school S&W 5906, bought used, I'm probably the 3rd owner.
9mm, traditional DA/SA with slide mounted safety/decocker. Stainless steel frame and slide. No rust or scratch on the metal.
Black plastic grips is slightly dinged up on the right side, which leads me to believe it might have been a law enforcement trade in. There is no marking to indicate that it was an LEO gun, just my guest. Left side of the grip is much cleaner.
Novak night sights, front and rear (2 dots rear), slightly dimmed but still visible in the dark.
Accurate, capable of 6" groups standing off hand at 20 yds.
Reliable, no malfunction of any sort with round nose or hollow points.
Two magazines (15 rounds), made by Meggar. These are not factory magazines but there is no issue with them. I have several Meggars for various handguns and they work as good as the factory. Meggar are the manufacturer of several European and US factory magazines. I believe the S&W M&P factor mags are Meggar.
