I purchased this new in December of 2016 from Cabela's. I'm a revolver guy and not really into 9mm pistols but the ergonomics and trigger on this are what attracted me. Has had under 500 rounds of brass through it and never a misfire. Hasn't been shot though in almost two years so it's time to find it a new home. What you see is a Magnum Research MR-9 Eagle with 4" barrel and stainless slide. These are somewhat hard to find now as they were only produced for a short time and discontinued. It was a joint collaboration between Magnum Research and Walther. The slide and barrel were made in the USA by Magnum Research in Pillager, MN. And the frame and trigger assembly were made by Walther in Germany. You'll even find the Walther logo under the grip panel–as I've shown in the last two photos. The MR-9 Eagle is a direct evolution of the Walther P99 (same frame size, paddle release, same P99 mags, and trigger) with some features from the Walther PPQ (the square trigger guard and rail). It feels and shoots just like a Walther in the hand. And will even fit holsters for the PPQ. The trigger is the same found on the P99AS, also known as Walther's "Anti-Stress" trigger, where the first shot is a long double action pull and then subsequent shots are in single action mode with shorter lighter pulls. There is a de-cocker on the slide which puts the pistol back into double action mode. I think that's one reason I fell in love with this gun–for it's revolver-like double/single action trigger pulls.
Comes in it's original box with manuals, two 15 round mags (one was never even used), assortment of front sights with tool, 3 backstraps (medium is on the gun), and a new extra rear sight. I scuffed the top left side of the rear sight when I first got it and purchased an extra from Magnum Research but never put it on. You can see the scuff in photos below. A set of Traction Grips are already on it, and a Crossbreed "Freedom Carry" holster for a PPQ (which fits perfectly) will be included. I think anyone who appreciates both of these manufacturers and wants a true American/German pistol will be happy to own the MR9.
This is the first gun I have listed on the forum. Have sold and bought other items here and you can look up my feedback. I am in North Carolina. If you are in the surrounding Charlotte area I'd be willing to meet face-to-face.
$400 shipped from my FFL to your FFL. I accept USPS Money Orders, Paypal Friends/Family, and can do personal checks but would have to wait the 3-7 business days for it to clear.
Please make sure this pistol can be legally shipped to your state. Feel free to ask me any questions.
