History:
The Remington Model 513-T Matchmaster is a .22 lr bolt action rifle, manufactured from 1940 to 1968. 513T rifles came equipped with a 27 inch heavy target semi-floating barrel, target stock made of American Walnut with sling swivels, a beavertail fore end, and a straight comb which rose at the heel, and a six shot magazine. This 513-T has the (vintage) Lyman Model 60 rear peep sight and the Lyman Model 77 front globe sight. It only has one front insert but the current Lyman Model 19 aperture inserts will work in the 77 sight.
I originally bought this to relive my late 1950’s NRA marksmanship classes with the same rifle I used back then. Then I talked to my fellow classmate (he who was by far the best shot in the class and went on to become a Green Beret during Vietnam) who “remembered” that we used 521-T rifles. I will sell the 513-T for $475 - shipped. OR: FTF in the greater (50 mile radius) Phoenix, AZ area: $425.
This 513-T has the patina of a non-safe queen. It is in fine shape for over 60 years old and is complete and accurate. This is a shooter and a classic US target gun.
