$450 for the gun safely nested inside a new Bore Stores Silicone Treated Gun Storage rug. "Able to complete at this time a local face-to-face cash sale ONLY. Buyer must be at least 21, Oklahoma resident able to legally buy a firearm in Oklahoma, and must have a current valid Oklahoma issued picture ID. No exceptions."
I have for sale a Smith & Wesson J-frame Chiefs Special. It is just barely past the last year of having a flat latch, but still has S&W diamond wood grips. That, combined with the gun's serial number, makes it circa 1966.
This square-butt revolver holds five rounds, has a pinned 1.875 inch (aka 2 inch) barrel with a grooved rear sight, ramped fixed blade front sight, and serrated trigger. It features a blued finish and the original diamond-type wood grips have a serial number matching the serial number of the gun.
This classic revolver is in good condition and shows very well in spite of its fifty-four plus years. There is some superficial wear on the gun from being carried and being used. I also noticed for the first time last week while cleaning the gun after my range time (even after having looked at it many times and shown it to some fellow gun aficionados) there is a very small chip missing on the top of each grip just in front of the black washers. This doesn't show unless looking under the gun for that specific imperfection, and even then it is hard to notice as they are small and uniform.
It has clean bore and cylinders with a nice trigger in single or double action. I have fired 50 problem-free rounds of factory .38 Special 130 grain factory ammunition through it since I acquired it last year, including 25 last weekend.
