Firstly a little background on this 22 Combat Masterpiece. This is the 2nd. time owning this gun. Sold it the first time, if memory serves me correctly, for the very reason am selling it again. Am not a collector but an accumulator and shooter. True that excellent condition appeals to me. But so does the gun that has what I call character. Has seen use but not abuse. Have taken this Combat Masterpiece out of the safe 3 to 4 times when planning on going to the range. Each time after taking a hard look at it, back it goes to rest in the safe. Cannot do it.
This is a collector Grade 22 Combat Masterpiece made in 1953 the fourth year of production for the pre-model 18. The grips are numbered to the gun as well as the cylinder and barrel and the factory gold box. The box is in excellent condition with no broken corners and no tears. It will come with a copy of the factory letter that was with this pre-model 18 when I purchased it. Please study the photos as it depicts the actual condition of this beautiful seventy year old .22 Combat Masterpiece. There are no factory rework stampings on the grip frame. Payment method is with Postal money orders. Shipping and insurance in the CONUS for this will be $75.
Asking what I have in it, $1,275 + shipping & insurance.
