Some Fun with Boxes

[Gun Relics]

I decided to put together a few boxes for some special guns. These are all re-purposed shells with my own interiors.

Here's a 27-1 made from an an old high end Italian jewelry box or humidor. It was pretty beat up but had a nice Carpathian elm veneer. I used Minwax Tung Oil and gave it a hand polish.






Here's a walnut burl laquer letterbox, I also added hardware for my engraved model 19.







Here's a box I put together for my NYPD gun. The badge is a prop numbered to match the Model 10.

I made some pretty complex boxes at one time but then I had a lot of equipment. So now I am just reclaiming old stuff. Here's a pic working on the police box.
