Greetings, all. I'm trying to date one of my late father's revolvers. Willing to guess it's a later Model 15-4, serial #96K27XX. Looks to have been carried a lot more than it's been fired. I'm aware of the 15's history and following, and once a suitable holster is procured, I look forward to taking it out to the range. Thanks for any help; I appreciate it.

Hello, and welcome. From the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, looks like you father's revolver was shipped in 1981. My condolences on your the passing of your father. The M15 is an accurate shooter. Give it a good workout at the range.
