Some People shouldn't be allowed to have dogs

UPDATE.

We have had him in our home for one month now. He continues to do well taking his meds, and we are all adjusting well to each other. We just took a road trip this past week, and he did very well in the car, was very mellow with the young granddaughters, and had no problems with the hotel room. He's a keeper, we just need to lick this heartworm problem.

These are the only pets I have now, feral cats.
I LOVE that little calico but its the first one to take off when they see me. :(
Mom on the left and her two kittens.

A week ago I got this one to take some chicken from me. :D
Its a sibling to the mother in the 1st picture.

And the mom in the picture did today. :D

May one day, maybe.

Awsome. I have 2 dogs I took in and am feeding some feral cats too. I tamed one like a house cat and working on another who is still a little skiddish sometimes. I love the pattern on him as he is an all gray Tabbie with no white on him anywhere.

There were several and sadly when I returned from town a few Saturdays ago I found one had been run over on the property. I think he/she may have stowed away up inside my pickup and jumped out under my tire. I try to remember to bang on the sides before I go anywhere now.

Glad he is doing well. Belly rubs sent.

UPDATE 9/20/2020

Little Rusty has completed his heartworm treatment, and has not had any complications. Vet says that we can start exercising hin this coming Saturday. That is a good thing since he has put on almost 4 lbs. sitting around the house and due to taking prednisone. He needed to remain pretty sedate while the adult heartworms were dying off to avoid getting an embolism by sucking decaying worm into his lungs.

My wife has started calling his "sausage" as a result of his weight gain, but regular walks in the bosque should get him back to form. I tell him that she is only kidding, but i think that he feels insulted, especially since it wasn't his fault. :)

He is proving to be the best dog that we have ever had, and we have had some really good ones in the past.

Outstanding ... You and Wify are da mans ...May you enjoy your new pups as I enjoy my Charlie ... He is a rescue ...

I firmly believe that dog owners should have to past a test and be licensed before they can get their first dog.

This would also reduce the number of unwanted dogs in shelters and dogs that are euthanized.

Sistema you did that dog a solid. God rewards those who look after his critters. Hopefully he punishes those who abuse or neglect them,
Last year we adopted an 11 year old English pointer.
We ended up with her when her owner passed away. She had been living in a kennel for her entire life. Took us 5 days to house break her and now she enjoys the good life.
Dog on the left is my tri-color Britt.

With Wify in da middle ...Simply OUTSTANDING ...
