Bear guns!
Im not sure Where to put this because it has calibers and guns ( S&W and “other”).
For Virginia black bears which would you carry in the woods?
A S&W model 66 2.5” or a Charter Bulldog which of course limits you to 5 standard pressure rounds. It’s lighter, which I like, but the 66 has the extra round and they can be loaded hot for that job only.
I don’t think this subject has come up here has it??
P.S. I understand that neither gun is ideal but that’s what I’m working with here.
Oh yeah, forgot pictures

I would carry a 18" barrel pump 12 ga shotgun loaded with slugs. Pistols are not powerful enough for bears.

I’m not hunting them but they are there. This is for around camp and such.
I can’t carry two long guns (.22/shotgun etc.) or when I’m doing other things such as clearing brush, cutting firewood and it’s not like they’re attacking me at all times to justify lugging a slug gun around.
