I dont think Ed Asner was ever on WKRP?I think you might be thinking about Gordon Jump?? Hessman--I cant recall his name but know who your talking about. After WKRP--Jump started doing those Maytag commerials after Jesse White had passed away.

Loni Anderson made that series for me.

While Loni was an eyeful Jan Smithers (Bailey Quarters) was no slouch!

Must have been one heck of a nicely-composed letter too. Are you available for sending such a compaint about all the WalMarts here in Corpus?

I stuck to the facts. The shelves were consistently bare and I named 4 other stores in the vicinity that were better. I also detailed an incident where standing at the counter with no clerk in sight I used my cell to call the store number and request help. It took 3 calls and 30 min to get someone there. (At that point I was timing it in preparation to making the complaint)

I just dinged Sportsmans Guide last night and got a response in email this morning. These places are listening, hit them with store managers names and facts and I bet you will see an improvement.

I'm glad .22 at a reasonable price isn't as scarce as hen's teeth anymore. Now if the same would be true of other components.

Ive had to do that too to get help. Many times im there for about the length you had to wait. It takes forever for anyone to show even after calling and speaking with the operator. The main manager at the Staples store is lousy.The one before--was much much better--but that was about two or so years ago.

Did you call their main HQ--which I think is in Bentonville. Arkansas?

Have no idea. It was just one of the more memorable. Like the Cheers episode where Cliff had been outfitted with electroshock therapy. Everytime he said something obnoxious or ridiculous he'd get zapped. Belly laugh....

Strangely enough,I remember that episode. Another I thought that was a Cliff great--was one where he gave everyone a brick--because none of them would back him up in a fight.

I would, the best result of course is that you see more ammo available local to you. And that's a good thing!

The thing that irks me the most--is that some employees will flat out lie to you. I tell them if they cant answer my question--just tell me so. About a year or so ago--one ofthe WMs I went tomore than any other--fired two employees for doing things with the twenty two ammo they knew they were not supposed to do. they were taking most of the shipment of twenty two--and buying it then selling online. Some bigwig finally busted them on it and i was there when one was fired on the spot.

That was good justice. These two constantly lied about what came in even though you could easily see--by the discarded boxes--what actually came in.

TURN

A little off topic, but related to the AMC show, TURN. I played a Redcoat in the first few episodes of season one.

The first attached picture was taken in front of one of the giant green screens hung at the end of a street in Petersburg, VA. The second picture is a screenshot of the final episode from that filming session.

Ill look for you too. I just bought Turn on DvD a week or so ago. Im still watching Black Sails so will watch those soon afterwards.
