Range Time
I started my twins shooting when they were 6 years old. They are 27 now but still like to get out to the range with me when they can. I don't think it's possible to start them out too young. The earlier they learn how to use and respect firearms the better.
My collection is more geared toward military firearms and I tend to bring some weird stuff to the range the average person probably has never seen or fired before. I enjoy letting anybody who shows an interest in one of my firearms shoot it if they want. I've had kids as young as 10 or 12 shoot my .50BMG bolt gun or run a belt thru my semi 1919a4, with their parents permission of course. The look on their face when they are done is priceless.
If we want the interest in the shooting sports to continue to grow we have to gets the kids involved now. If they loose interest the sport will slowly wither away and die.
