Soooo, how many of you are "Closet" Ruger guys....????

I have an original style Vaquero in 357, have a new single six i havent fired yet, but installed fiber-optic sights, and ofcourse my 10/22 which was my first gun, my grandpa gave me. I'd like to have a custom super blackhawk with 3-1/2" barrel, gold bead front sight, 44mag, bisley hammer, unflutted cylinder, oversize base pin...just because

Here's an early M77R flatbolt in .308 Winchester with tang safety. Serial number indicates it's a 1969 gun, according to Ruger's serial number ID chart.

Since acquiring this gun, I've learned on the Ruger Forum that this gun, serial number 70-017XX, is possibly the earliest known Model 77 flatbolt in .308 Winchester since Ruger started the "prefix" serial number system.

The earliest known prefix M77R 308 flatbolts are in the 70-04902 to 70-50983 S/N range, according to "THE RED EAGLE NEWS EXCHANGE".

The stock, I believe is a Fajen Aristocrat and the scope is a Redfield 3x-9x.

I fired the LCP last weekend and I was amazed at the difference in the shooting experience vs the .380 Kel-Tec that I recently sold. THe Ruger had less felt recoil, a smother trigger pull and was more accurate.

Well, I have some Rugers. A couple of 10-22s, a 181 series Mini 14 I bought back in 1980, a New Model .45 convertible, and a #3 Liberty in .45-70 that I am trading for a #1 in the same caliber. I really like the #1, but I'm not a Ruger fan. The warning barrels were hideous, and remember the folly of their version of the M1A. I've never liked the looks of any of their DA guns. The only one I would really like to get now is a stainless, fixed sight Old Army, but all my pistol money goes into Smiths.
