Sorting brass

A couple of indoor ranges I know have tubs of mixed brass for digging and sale by the hundred or the pound; sometimes they sort and sell themselves. I have seen these plastic jobs with slots in the bottom that i suppose will sort somewhat.
a) How do they work? good, bad, or indifferent
b) Where can you buy them? I saw an ad once but can't find it now. The range I go to is new and they asked me to help find something.
c) Is there a better mousetrap available? I have an idea, and if I invent one, will I be a millionaire?

The Shell Sorter

If you have only 9mm, .40S&W, and .45 ACP in your mix of brass, they sort very well.
With the oddball mix of calibers in range trash brass, well, each shell wil go somewhere..........
