Southpaw or Ambi Shield

The 9c sold me on S&W, so I was disappointed when the Shield didn't have the same southpaw/ambi slide lock & mag release. I've heard all the "didn't have room excuses" but I'm not buying it. Just make a southpaw Shield if there's no room to make it ambi & I'd buy one tomorrow.
And I'm not interested in right-handed shooters saying "just get used to it" b/c the mag release & slide lock weren't designed to be used w/ your middle & index finger.
I'll keep my 9c as my primary but will have to go elsewhere for a backup.

I have the full size M&P 9 and love it. I've wanted a Shield but am holding out for an Ambi Model. If they don't make one soon, I'm going to the competition. Would love to buy a S&W, but I can't buy what they don't make.
