SP101 in .22

Who here has one of the new 8 shot SP101's in .22? Great little gun. Trigger isn't a Smith but I find myself liking it more than my 617 size wise and it's pretty accurate as well. A neat little gun!!

Handled one in my LGS. Really liked it, would have bought it, but I didn't need it. I already have a 43 to carry, and a 17 and a 4" Diamondback to shoot. Also have a pre-34 and a couple of bottomfeeders. If I were starting out, though, that would be a pretty attractive gun.

I put one in my hand at a LGS too. I liked it but it felt a bit small in my hand like the 34-1. I bet they are great. Actually, I am hoping the rumor of a 10 shot .22LR in the GP100 frame (but not full lug) is true. I would like to see how that feels.

I have a 17 and a 617 in 4 inch so I passed on the SP101 but I have not totally ruled it out for the future.

Already have a nice stable of rifles and handguns in .22LR or .22MAG but the SP101 is my first stainless model.Can't say anything bad about it.As far as new guns go it's priced right for the market.Is it the best choice? It's different and I like different.

Sure don't have to worry about misfeeds or FTE.

Bought one new couldn't warm up to it and sold it before ever firing one shot. I'm really glad it is gone. By the time I'd had got a grip for it to fit my hand I'd had been so close to the price of a S&W 617 I would have hated the gun.

My son purchased one for a trail gun, only in a 357 mag, changed out the trigger spring for a great trigger. I am impressed with fit, finish and accuracy and he can use it on the trail. I have been thinking of getting this gun in 22rf for me a knock around trail gun. I am impressed

I've had one for about two years. Like nearly all of my Rugers it needed some attention to the trigger. Wolf springs, some shims and polish has it to managable. I also needed a little more grip than the factory gave me. It's a revolver that I can shoot now.

I saw one at my local gunshow and i did not like it. Trigger pull too heavy.

i thought the sights where a little to high for me.

I just did not like it.

I've got one I'm trying to trade on here for a Smith Wesson revolver, its not a Smith. Its a good gun I just prefer S&W.
