I can't keep ahead of spam. Each week I go to my email and unsubscribe to all the stuff wanting to sell me something or for me to donate to some politician who is running for office in a state a thousand miles from me. But the next week there is a total new bunch of stuff. They find out that you like guns or are right wing type person and every thing in the world shows up in your mail. I think that a lot of it is all from the same group. They just use a different name each time.

If you didn't subscribe to the emails in the first place, I wouldn't bother unsubscribing. Oftentimes, it just confirms to the sender that it's a valid email address, and pretty soon its being sold to other marketers, scammers, etc. Just move it to your junk mail folder.

When we send money to a charity I think they sell there "sucker list"
to every other charity. My experience has been when I send one some
money, I get several more from those in the same line. They should know
they are shooting themselves in the foot.

I block the stuff I get, but like ContinentalOp said they never stay gone for long.

As evil as Google is, their gmail spam filtering is pretty good. I don't see much. You just need to accept that they are harvesting them and selling the data.

I was once naive enough to enter Publishers Clearinghoue online. That was good for 45 messages every day

Be careful clicking on the "unsubscribe" link on an unwanted email. It could be a malicious download. I just empty my spam folder once a week, usually without even looking to see what is there.

Run a good anti-virus, Add Blocker, and delete cookies once in a while.

I have multiple emails. Personal, business, other and stuff. Spam goes to the "stuff" email account(s).

Never click on an "unsubscibe" link. It just proves your email is good. I only use Outlook and Google, both online, not the intalled ones. Outlook allows me to report phishing (which most of these are), and after a while, it seems to work. Google is very good to stop almost all of it up front.

My grandkids love it and I am sure that their grandkids will love it, also.

There's a couple companies that sell mags and grips I have ordered from. For weeks after the order I get emails from companies I've never heard of, some selling stuff, some hunting or tactical gear sites. I unsubscribe and they usually go away.

And delete your history. I very rarely get any spam, and sure don't buy it at supermarket.

I have CenturyLink for my internet services and email. They now use McAfee for antivirus and no issues there.

The last time I saw spam in my email inbox was......NEVER!!!

My spectrum mail is supposed to be able to block this type stuff but it never seems to work. It's worthless. I have been thinking of ditching it and just using Outlook or Thunderbird. I despise all things Google so that's out. I do have a gmail account because you can only get youtube and a couple of other things if you have gmail. I use it only if I want something to go to a garbage account.

I scroll thru my spam list every day. Every now and then there is an e-mail that is not spam and I move it over to the inbox, and then delete everything else.

I would never delete without checking them.

About that other spam I have never tried it but thought I would. However after picking up a can in the store and reading the label. No way! The Dr wanted me to keep my salt intake as low as possible. Not possible eating any spam.

If you go to an Unsubscribe page and they ask you ti input your email address "DON'T". That's how they get your address into their system. As previous posters have mentioned, when you click on the selection unsubscribe that tells you are alive address.

I get little to none. Also, just before you shut down clear your cookies and cashe.
