Speaking of re-purposed boxes

Here's one for the elusive pre M45 or as it was formally known as the M&P 22 caliber. That's what my pre M45 is called on my factory invoice. Big Larry

Larry,
Is that box for one that you own?
If it serial numbered it could be something I would be interested in knowing.

Thanx,

I wish I had kept all the boxes I threw away when I bought new pistols.
SOP file the docs & tools and S-can the box. But back in 50s & 60s you didn’t hear much on boxes, tools, etc. Grips were no big deal either. In fact seemed like first thing done was throw away box, get aftermarket grips and tuck away originals. A good percent of them ended up trashed too. That’s what holds up the prices today.

I really like your M&P22. When I bought my 2 1/2" 66-1 in 1978 the box went in the trash and the SAT went in the tool box. Around the same time the box for a 58 went in the trash as well. C'est la vie.
