Spec series

S&W made good move to sell more products...
However I'm not impressed.

hello ... from what I read spec series comes with two magazines and a knife. also has tritium sights. for those of us who like 5 in barrels, it's a great option. i have a fde version, and i love it. I would just prefer three or four magazines instead! keep the coin and the knife! I like useful things not gimmicks!!! not sure if it has any performance center upgrades.

I bought an all black version when they first came out. Nice pistol, standard 2.0 trigger and as mentioned night sights. Good shooter but I didn’t really have a use for a 5” outside of a range toy. If I remember correctly I paid right around $550-the shop had a couple, not much demand for it locally at least. I prefer the Compact.

Also agree on leaving out the coin and knife.

I don’t see it on the S&W website. I’d like a 5” barrel but the knife and coin are stupid.

I also think the 5” barrel is a tad long. The Compact is 4”, the full size 4.25”. Such a small difference that I have to look at the magazine to determine if it’s a full size or a Compact. I have a Compact and considered getting the full size as well but they’re so close it seems pointless.

I also have a 2.0 .45. That’s the sweet spot for me as far as barrel length 4.6” is perfect for house or range gun.

huh? smith wesson toke it down from website.....look online for whos selling them. at one point palmetto State armory, guns.com, dunham sports, academy, etc.... list of them for sale. just don't know if it was a limited run?

It was indeed a Limited Run, hence the collectable coin.

I used to collect baseball cards... Some were pretty hard to obtain!

That was before Dad could just buy you the complete set...!

Chewed a lot of bubblegum, mostly flat sticks.

The same thing happened to stamp collectors when they started printing the stamps by the tens of millions vs. the thousands.

We'll see the future value of a collector coin, I guess?

Cheers!
