Specialize in collecting S&W 22's ?

I forgot the "Coast Guard"- pre-War FIXED sight K-22 in 6 inch......

I don't know where you are in line. If any of us are in front of you, you'd be well advised to find another line! :)

;)
After years for searching for my "Most Wanted" guns, the Model 63 or Model 34 and the Model 18, I have found them in just 2 months apart.
Now I have a really nice Model 34 flatlatch and than I found my "Utterly Most Wanted" one: a great Model 18-2.
They provide me with all the joy that shooting can give to a person.

Since I have these two, I can be a patient guy. (I think?)

What got me thinking about .22's was my finding and buying a Model 18-2 at a local gun shop.
It is about 98%+ and I probably paid too much for it with no box, $600, but in Mass a used gun has to have been previously owned in Mass, hence it seems as if the prices tend to be a bit higher here.
Anyhow I am so thrilled with it I am looking for a Model 17 to go with it!

Finding a POST-war Transitional Kit Gun like this might be a challenge--but your pals aren't likely to have one!

BlackAgnes (or is it Black Angus LOL)

That is a beautiful gun!

With all the variety in the .22's I think that is what you could take a lifetime building a collection.

I do love the .357's having a Model 28 and a 686, I would like at least one more, maybe a 13 or a 19 (or both) but them I hear the siren call of the .22

It sounds like a loon on a quiet moonlit night, it is calling me ".22 .22 .22" over and over :D:D:D

I am still amazed at how many .22's S&W made!

With the spector of a ban on Center-Fire ammo still on the distant horizon (there is talk once in a while) you can't seem to wrong with rim-fire

Are you coming to the show in Fitchburg this weekend?
If you are I'll bring my pre 45 and my .22/32 Club Gun with a Humpback Hammer. Neither one is for sale.
