Speed loaders

HKS is the most reliable and trusted speedloader yet.

The best there ever was IMHO.

Was issued safariland comp ll. Never had an issue with them. Still use them for my 66. Also have comp l’s for my j frames and my 28.

Plus comp ll’s for my 586 abd 686.

Not one cartridge has ever kicked out from an accidental drop in over 38 yrs.

You can trust safariland.

As far as retiring a wheel gun and getting “tactical” I train by making well placed shots. Not spraying and praying

What Speed Loader is best depends on your use.
I have a pretty good selection of them.
For general use the HKS is hard to beat. I have a hard time warming up to the 5-Star due to the fact that it unlocks backwards to the HKS, and I have a pile of HKS loaders for multiple guns. If you do not have speed loaders already 5-Star loaders are well made.

For Competition the Safariland Comp III works very well. The Jet Loader is a hair smaller in diameter for the K Frame, but I am not sure if Jet Loaders are available at this time. Note with a good speed loader carrier a Comp III or Jet Loader work fine for concealed carry.

Moon Clips for 38 Specials require specific ammunition geared to the clip thickness. The 38 Special rim under-cut where the clip locks on the cartridge is not standardized. Some are loose, and some way tight depending on the moon clip thickness. My brothers SP101 has been moon clipped. We sort out Remington Cases for it. Winchesters will not work at all. Others are trial and error.
