"Speedloaders" for 22 LR Revolvers

They work fine with a loading tray. Worth having . . . maybe. I don't get excited about speed reloading my 22 revolvers at the range. I like relaxed plinking. If I want to shoot fast, get out the model 41 with all ten mags loaded up.

The DS10 ones are probably the best ones on the market. They are made for 6 and 10 shot S&W. I have a bunch of them for shooting matches. You can also get a loading block in a case with a lid that keeps them ready to clip into the loaders.

I use them with my K-22 not really a big deal as we are about the same age and take shooting easy and slow.

Now with the Model 317 kit gun they are a requirement. Wouldn't shoot without it. Being a young gun it has no patience whatsoever.

You can make your own loading blocks with wood and a drill press, too. I converted a couple small cutting boards into loading blocks, along with a speed loader tied to it with a bit of leather.

Still, I just never use them after making them.

As others here have already said, you can't go wrong with DS-10 brand. I have them for my 10 shot, 617; with the loading blocks and box. I use mine on bowling pin shoots, they work great. I think you could get them in aluminum or molded plastic, but not sure if you still can. Mikey

Not sure which brand I've got, but I've got 6, 8, and 10 round models for my S&W revolvers. Pelican cases with loading blocks as well. Work very well.
