Does anyone out there have a lead on Speer Gold Dot .38SPC +p 135gr 53921, I can find it everywhere in the 20rd(23921) boxes but would like to get the 50rd(53921) boxes to fitment into the areas that I store plus its actually cheaper. I found a company online that had them but in bulk bags of 250/500/1000rd quantities which if I didnt need them in the boxes I would jump all over but kinda need the boxes they come with. Any help would be much appreciated.

Everyone that I usually buy from is either out or only has the 20 rounds boxes. My guess, Speer has not made a run of the 50 round boxes in a while. Hopefully they will make a run soon as I need to stock up.

I got mine off Gunbroker, but it was nearly a year ago. I picked up 1k rounds in 50-round boxes for $350+s&h. You may want to check there if you haven't already.

Checked GunBroker,Brownells,Midway,OMBExpress,Ammotogo etc etc along with all the local dealers listed on Speers website and got nothing. Actually saw a company list their 23921's as 25rd boxes??? So when I was asking about the 50rd boxes I said that I dont believe that this round was made in 25rd boxes and that most likely it was a typo and got a not so nice response from the woman I was talking to(cant remember if it was Brownells or Midway, whichever site has the 23921's as in a 25rd box it was them lol).

I usually get mine at G&R Tactical ... they are empty too.

I have a couple of new 50-round boxes of the Speer .38 Special 135 grain ammo here that I bought from a local gunstore. I paid $47.69 (including tax) for each box, and then the wife switched to a .380ACP, and I switched to a .357 Mag, though we still have her .38 Special (a very well maintained no-lock S&W 649). I would be happy to sell one of the two boxes of ammo to you for the price that I paid if you will cover the cost to ship it to you.

I called Speer and spoke to a couple representatives. Each one said that while they havent made a run of this ammunition as of late, they are going to start making massive runs of this around mid January and to expect it to be out for delivery atleast the first rounds of the run in beginning to mid Feb. I have contacted alot of websites that used to sell this ammo and they have confirmed that they will be taking this ammo in stock around the end of Feb. Now lets see who orders it first lol.

These are getting harder to find,and as stated,just about everyone is out of stock.I did locate some on the Gander Mountain website a couple of days ago,in stock,but the price is exhorbitant! $37.00 and change for a 20 round box!

This is why I am holding onto the couple of boxes i have left. A good alternative for this load would be the Winchester RA38B. 130gr.+P and also bonded. It's high priced too,but not quite as bad as the Gold Dot. AmmoToGo has it in stock.$37.95 for 50 rounds,which is a littler more acceptable that the Gold Dot pricing.
Doc Roberts gives it good marks for performance from a snub.
