Spending Christmas Eve

My organic and heirloom garden seeds catalog came in the
mail this afternoon, I've been thumbing through and thinking
about the coming spring.
I have two pork shoulders in the backyard pit that I started
the smoke at 5 p.m., pulled BBQ pork for Christmas. Fresh
pork shoulders with bone in at $1.77/lb, the boss said get
two so she wouldn't have to cook the next couple days.
Grand kids are here and both opened one gift to hold them
over until morning at 6:00.

I'm in a non-traditional mood this year.

My mom's spent the last week or so with me. First Christmas without my dad.

I took her on a scenic car ride today that I usually take on my bike.

We just returned from a clan Christmas gathering hosted by my youngest. It was a most enjoyable and memorable evening.

She achieved gift giving super stardom when she gave me this.

I cried.
