Here's a very nice postwar pre-Model 17 K-22 Masterpiece with original (numbered to the gun) diamond magna stocks. SN 2136XX dates this one to 1954 per SCSW3.

The pics speak for themselves. I would grade the bluing overall in the 95-97% range. The fine details include: a very thin cylinder turn line, a tiny mark on the left side of the barrel under the "I" in Smith&Wesson; a minimal "rim" of muzzle wear and spot of bluing fade under the trigger guard are noted; there is no wear of the leading edges of the frame or cylinder; Scattered superficial minor handling marks ... the case color of the hammer is about 80% (does not show well in the pics). Comes with a grip extender shown in the pics.

Action smooth, timing fine, no end shake. The original stocks are in very good overall appearance but there are chips off the tips of the rear horn top.
No box or docs. All in all VERY nice pre-17
