I am currently at my buddy, and fellow Smith aficionado's place in Tennessee. I wasn't there but a few minutes when he pulled out his bag O parts, pressuring me to upgrade my sights and hammer. I resisted a couple days before finally acquiescing.

My 3913 now wears an MMC adjustable rear sight, taller front sight and a 4006, lightweight hammer; a single sided safety is in its future. Although I like the original, sleek configuration, I thought I'd give it a try - I can easily convert it back to stock. Anyone else install different sights and or spurred hammer on their 3913?

Spurred hammer, yes. Mine is still sporting the original sights.
908 single sided safety would work, blast to reveal the stainless underneath the blue finish.

I put spurred hammers on most of my spurless compacts. I originally thought that was an upgrade and something I wanted. At the time to me it was.

I saved all the original spurless and maybe four years ago they went back in. (My 4516-2 still has a spurred hammer though.) I did not save the spurred hammers but gifted them here to those that wanted spurred hammer CS's, 3913/6906/908's.

Options are great and how would you know what is good for you without them?

What made you go back? I have a 908 that I have considered switching to spurred.

Well, to be honest I got a meniscus totally removed, (along with all the bone pieces,) then went to a different position at work. I gained 25# and there was a "bit" of interference with IWB carry. (I'm back to normal if not below weight now.)

I also realized there was a reason why these were originally spurless and got back into it. No offense to those that want spurred hammers. Just save the spurless ones in case you chance your mind. It's easy enough to go back and forth.

I changed a bunch of stuff on my 908 and appreciated the spurred hammer until I didn't.

I refreshed the sights on my 3953TSW. Stopped by Wayne Novak's shop in Parkersburg, WV a few years ago and he replaced the original with new Novak night sights. This is a great carry gun.

So you are saying the safety on a 908 is actually blackened stainless?? Any other 3rd gen parts that are this way? The slide is just blued right?

Rosewood

Guzzi confirmed that on the safety. 908 slides are carbon steel under the blued finish. Not sure what other parts are stainless under the blue finish.

Does anyone know where (and if) I could find MMC rear adjustable sights for third gens?

Honestly, I think they just look so boss and period correct. They look great on your 3913.
